VGP is Japan's largest award in the audiovisual field, with over 250 participating brands and approximately 2,500 entries, and is held twice a year in summer and winter. A jury of 10 critics and journalists and approximately 30 electronics retailers and specialty stores will participate in the voting.
For the "Category Awards", the "Gold Prize" will be awarded to the contest that received the most votes in each category, and the "Award" will be awarded to the contest that is judged to have exceeded a certain standard, with the Gold Prize being limited to approximately 10% of the total.
On the other hand, in addition to the ``Category Award'', a ``Special Award'' will be given to items that are particularly noteworthy. The special prize in the grand prize class will be carefully selected to about 1%.
