The first model in the series,DX6000'' features an incredibly high-definition and smooth sound thanks to the newly developed ``Transient Coil System,'' which combines high transient performance with a detailed low frequency range that allows you to recognize even the gradations.
The "free air structure" that connects the driver's front and rear chambers creates an ultra-open sound field that exceeds that of conventional open-type headphones. You can enjoy a new, natural and spacious music experience that is reminiscent of ear speakers.
The newly designed dynamic driver unit (DU) uses a magnesium alloy with high rigidity and high internal loss as the material for the diaphragm. This makes it difficult for split vibrations and unnecessary resonance to occur.
The development of the edge took several years to develop this driver unit. Typical edge materials cannot suppress the occurrence of resonance in certain frequency bands. We decided to use foamed silicone resin to solve this problem. Taking advantage of the extremely lightweight feature of foam material, we have added thickness to the edges.
By using a material that is extremely light, soft, and thick at the same time, we have solved the conflicting issues of smoothness and avoiding unnecessary resonance.
In addition, instead of bonding the edge material and the magnesium diaphragm with a typical adhesive, we adopted a method in which the magnesium diaphragm is fixed inside a mold and then a foamed silicone material is poured into the mold. This fundamentally solves various problems caused by the adhesive between the diaphragm and the edge, such as individual differences due to differences in the amount of application.
The more you open up the series of ventilation such as the back of the driver unit, the inside of the ear pads, and the inside and outside of the housing, the more open and natural the sound field can be obtained, but the bass reproduction frequency band will be narrowed accordingly. In order to solve this problem, we must significantly lower f0 and the lowest resonant frequency of the driver unit.
However, in general, open-back headphones have a high impedance, which means that the voice coil has a large number of windings, making it heavier, and increasing the L component of the coil to reduce high-frequency sound pressure. If you use a soft material on the edge to lower f0 as is, it will prevent accurate piston motion.
In order to resolve these conflicting factors, we have developed a "transient coil system" in which a coil is inserted in series with the driver unit. As a result, while keeping the vibration system (diaphragm + edge + voice coil) lightweight, high-frequency sound pressure is lowered, and by using a flexible and easily movable material for the edge, a low f0 and lowest resonant frequency are achieved. By balancing these technologies with each other, we are able to achieve both an open sound field and sufficient bass, while at the same time, the lightweight vibration system allows for sharp sound rises and falls (transients).
This product has achieved an extremely low minimum resonant frequency (f0), so it is possible to reproduce sufficient low frequencies even with poorly sealed ear pads using the driver unit's ability alone.
The ear pads, which have a big impact on sound quality, are an in-house product that uses a special fabric made of Japanese paper that has a dry feel and durability as a surface material, and a foam material with excellent breathability. The same material is also used for the headband, making it resistant to moisture and highly durable.
In addition, we have newly developed a lightweight OFC slim cable exclusively for the DX series. This product includes XLR/3m. This product is delivered in a special semi-hard case that is convenient for storage and transportation.

*By installing the "Transient Coil System", the rated impedance is 47Ω@1kHz, but at 20kHz the impedance increases to 480Ω, so we recommend using a stationary amplifier with sufficient power performance, such as one that supports high impedance, rather than using this product as a portable device.
