8K Sound
Here are the reasons why the sound of ZE8000 was called "8K Sound".
The sound design of headphones and earphones is often performed from a target curve, and FINAL has been studying target curves. If you explain what a target curve is, it will be too long, so I will omit it here, but the Harman target curve is an example.
Regarding the sound design of headphones and earphones, amplitude frequency characteristics are often performed to focus on a product, called tuning.
In FINAL, while studying target curves and tuning, the concept of target curves, which has been stated in the past, since the development of flagship headphones D8000 began in 2014, and the design method of headphones and earphones based on tuning. On the other hand, I had a sense of discomfort with the idea and the sound.
Products such as the E500, VR3000, A8000, etc. were created by research and development from a completely new perspective, starting with the discomfort. However, research and development at this point could not be convinced of the discomfort that had been held since 2014.
So I started R & D on the basics of what people listen to sounds, or what to listen to music.
In addition, the technology and known issues that have been introduced in headphones and earphones have been revised again. Extra -heading technology adopted to approximate the sound of the headphones to the sound of the speaker, target curves in earphones and headphones, and some people who are preferred for the sound of the same product and those who are not.
In the process of these studies, it has also been found that there is a difference between those who have been listening to earphones and headphones for a long time, and how to hear the sound of those who are not so. The former may be a person who is familiar with the sound based on the design methods that have been theory.
So, instead of the design method of earphones and headphones, we decided to explore the necessary conditions for people to listen to sounds and music naturally. The ZE8000 was developed based on the results. We are planning to publish this research result in a paper etc., and we will not be able to tell the details yet, but you can experience the sound with ZE8000.
The ZE8000 has also been different from the previous products for us. If you express it in a while, you can say that it is a sound similar to the "natural" sound we usually hear without going through headphones or earphones without feeling emphasized anywhere. When you listen to the ensemble of live instruments, it may be close to the experience of being able to focus on the sound of each instrument over time. Or it can be said that it is the sound when you listen to it with a very well -adjusted high -end audio speaker. On the other hand, because it is not emphasized, it is difficult to express the impression of the sound in words, so it can be said that it is a surprising sound.
We developed the mysterious feeling when we first touched this new sound. I have the impression that if you get used to this sound, you will not be able to return to the sound of the conventional product. I was worried about how to express the mysterious experience of being able to focus on the sound I want to listen to gradually when I listen carefully, and when I saw the 8K display, I was close to the impression that I was confused by the amount of information. I decided to named it 8k Sound. We plan to announce the obtained research results at academic societies.
